I run short, structured engineering evaluations that require a private, realistic codebase as the immutable starting point. Public or forked repos won’t work because the grader must test engineering skills on unseen code. I’m reaching out to see if you’d be open to letting me use one of your private repos under strict safeguards.
What I need
Primary language: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Go, or Rust
At least ~8,000 lines of first‑party source across 50+ files
At least 50 commits and 2+ weeks of history
How it works / your protections
You pick a base commit; I request read‑only access only (or you can send a sanitized git bundle). You remain the owner and can revoke access anytime.
We will not publish or redistribute your code.
I will sign an NDA before accessing anything and we will scan for and remove secrets first.
Any environment changes (a small Dockerfile) are authored by you; I can provide a template and help if needed.
What you’ll need to do (one-time)
Invite my GitHub account as a read-only collaborator for that repo (or send a sanitized bundle).
Run and paste these outputs for quick verification: git rev-list --all --count, git log --reverse --format=%ai | head -n1, cloc . --exclude-dir=node_modules,venv.
(Optional) Provide a small environment/Dockerfile; I’ll review and help.
Compensation & timeline
I offer an honorarium for the time and setup (typical: $300 ).
Access is short-lived and revocable; I’ll delete any local copies after the engagement unless you instruct otherwise.
If this sounds reasonable I can send an NDA and a short checklist to make setup quick. Thank you for considering it — I respect your ownership and time.
Owner checklist (one-liner you can paste)
